Also if your car sat for years, it might be time to flush the A/C system and get the vacuum re pulled because any small contaminates can mess with it. the interior sensor inside the cabin near dome light or the alarm/siren box. Ford place this unit and the main Ecu on the Mondeo underneath the passenger's wheel arch ,the most ridiculous spot to place these fragile electrical units . Because of the location these units are prone to rust and water ingress.
