Sparkyman. Ford specify 12,500 miles or 12 months, whichever comes soonest. A good quality oil is Comma XTC5L 5L XTech fully synthetic and at around £21.00 is only about £3.00 more expensive than the semi synthetic version. If you want to 'overservice' I'd use the synthetic and change every 6,000 miles or six months.

However in 2009 they changed to a "life-time" filter that is part of the fuel pump. I am not sure when the build-date split when they changed designs.
