Car is Mondeo tdci 2.0. 60 plate Euro v engine , Car drove fine , 20 mile motorway journey , engine light came on ,slight misfire , had been doing for while , once a week or so misfires for 5mins then ok , came of slip road , stopped at junction lights , there car stalled , , that's it , car will not even try to start ,
If you drive only short distances or your journeys contain frequent stopping and starting, you must initiate the regeneration process every 500-800 kilometres (300-500 miles). To do this, drive your vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph) for 40 kilometres (25 miles) in the lowest possible gear whenever it is safe to do so.
Hi, having had the same warning come on my car 2011 2.0tdci I started investigating: Happened twice on longer runs, car probably trying to regen, it looks like it might be the fuel vapouriser in the dpf, these get blocked so the dpf can't regen as its basically a glow plug that helps to burns extra fuel put into the dpf when it needs a regen.
The ECM contains DPF software, which controls the monitoring and operation of the DPF system and also monitors other vehicle data to determine regeneration periods and service intervals. The DPF software can be divided into 3 separate control software modules; a DPF supervisor module, a DPF fuel management module and a DPF air management module.
Hello. Have had the Mondeo mk4 2.2 tdci 200 hp for 3 years. Since the beginning it regenerates at a maximum of 150km. I printed the system, installed a new MAF, new lambda probe, cleaned the DPF and made a new dds (original), new vaporizer, injectors return quantity test but the problem still exists and there is also the fact that the DPF sometimes cleans worse, ie the bdpf soot value
mk4's aren't using the passive version. It's the process of regeneration that can either be passive or active. Passive being, you're driving long distance on motorway, thus the exhaust is hot enough to clean the DPF without engine's ECU intervening (active regeneration) by injecting extra fuel to increase exhaust gas temperature.
This time I was ready with ELM and FORScan and read the following DTCs before restarting the engine: ===DTC P2263:73-27===. Code: P2263 - Turbo / Super Charge Boost System Performance. Additional Fault Symptom: - Actuator Stuck Closed. Status: - DTC Present at Time of Request. - Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC.
Ford Mondeo Mk4 (2007 - 2013) life.the pug 407 has the same engine but different DPF setup and because the regeneration process is different they get 20,000 mile
This combined with short journeys and occasional low fuel levels would be enough to cause the problems, but the differential pressure sensor was also flatlined. The DPF stats showed: – 875km average distance between regeneration – 683km since last successful regeneration – 128km since last attempt (unsuccessful)
