Most effecient way to make money in ATS/ETS2? Once you have your own truck and are tied to finding contracts close to the city you're currently in is it better to take the highest paying load which is also usually the longest trip or take the highest paying per mile load even if the distance is shorter?

First, I waited until level 10 to buy a truck, mainly because that is around the time you unlock several options for your truck, but also you have close to 100k. However, I then set level up to Eco. Here's my reasoning: 1) Eco max saves 35% of your hard earned $'s or Euros! Example: weekly profit = $7704998, Minus 35% (Eco) would have only yeilded $5008249; for the number of miles I've travelled, that's a difference between $57.6 per mile and $37.5 per mile - $20 per mile is a lot of dough!
None. It makes no difference at all. Tip here, if money is super tight you can change the paint-job to a cheaper color to save about $500 per truck. Strip off optional accessories like the sun shield and front mirror to save even more valuable cash. Once you pay your first truck off, take the loan. Not the little loan. The 400k loan.
