0 Post (s) T4 2.5 TDI Oil Leak – 16-03-2010, 05:46 AM. Help! I have just moved to Texas for a few years and I shipped my 2002 T4. Unfortunately, it has a significant oil leak from the right hand side of the engine. I can not identify where the oil is coming from. It seems to be low on the block and appears to be coming from the rear of the block.

I've seen a few t5's with blown engines so if I could have the option of dropping in a tuned remapped pd130 engine in I would defo consider it. 1.9 TDI 2000–2006 I4 8V ATD/AXR 1896 cc 74 kW (101 PS; 99 hp) @ 4000 rpm 240 N·m (180 lb·ft) @ 1800–2400 rpm. 1.9 TDI 1997–2002 I4 8V AHF/ASV 1896 cc 81 kW (110 PS; 109 hp) @ 4150 rpm 235 N·m
In the manual, it states that the pump timing must be set up after the cambelt change. If any of you have done this job, did you manage to do it without messing up your pump timing?. I've been quoted £128.80 for a cambelt kit from a VW main dealer. Can an equivalent kit be bought elsewhere at a more reasonable price?.
Spanners. Takes 1/2 hr to remove the front end and makes access much easier, mine is a long nose and on the donor vehicle I removed the engine and box together in under 3 hr with relative ease, then removing the gearbox from the engine took a further 20 mins with easy access. Ive been looking at these recon units Turbocharger VW T4 Transporter 2.5 TDI 074145701A k14-7018 + Turbo Gasket kit | eBay , seller is nrings in Swindon but based Latvia, not expensive, they seem to of sold quite a few. Just got mine off, (intake manifold came first).
